I know I had a really great time talking with prospies while they were here. I felt like I was on vacation for 4 days while I participated in everything prospies were doing- but what about you guys who came? What did you like about dimensions and Dartmouth- what appealed to you? Was there anything that you saw/ that happened, that made Dartmouth really unappealing?

And btw Sybbie- I'm sure you already know, but your daughter and handsonthedash and I got to talk. It was funny because I met so many kids who were talking to each other and they'd say 'Oh! you're apppro!" or "What's going on apppro? I'm (collegeconfidential name)."

She told me that she met you and handsonthedash (and she did not even bow her head in shame:) She was so excited to meet the 2 of you, because of our talk about the housing draw. She told me that the 2 of you had met online this time last year when you were prospies, but you never got to meet in person. She is going to be a UGA next year (I beleive to the 08's) so life should be interesting. She really wants to be a UGA and is overlooking where they have placed her.

i loved just about everything about dimensions!! especially the students, 'coz they seemed genuinely excited about us prospies. i can go on and on on what i love about dartmouth but i have all this work to make up... anyway, i was a bit sad that i didn't bump into any CC-ers, and my host was a bit strict about not going to the frats (on the non-send off party nights) and stuff (but she was just looking out for us and was otherwise uber cool). anyway, as long as financial aid works out you all will see me at D in the fall =)

When you get your housing stuff (Late June) You will have a short housing form. You will be asked if you want sub-free and there is an additional short answer form with essay (brief) application for East Wheelock. They accept approx 130 students out of the freshman class.

Dimensions = best experience ever. Especially Friday night. I had such a good time at the parties. Were you at the Tri-Kapp party? Do you know if that's how they always are, filled with massive (well, more than five) amounts of gay guys? Or was that just because they were all being creepy and hunting for us little nines?

takeheart- Yah, I went to the tri-kapp party, and yah- most times there is a dance party, the gay guys dance together in a group. They have to dance somewhere. They were also looking for '09s from what I hear, lol. But you probably shouldn't worry.

taurustorus- I'm glad you had such a good time. I'm sorry your host was so strict on you going to frats. I actually helped my prospie get a Dartmouth ID and took him to play pong more than once. We partied Wednesday and Friday both. But- I'm glad you got to experience Dartmouth!

your prospie's name didn't happen to be ed, did it? 'coz he told me his host lent him a D ID and yeah, he ended up going to the frats both wednesday and friday.

Dimensions was pimp..they bent over backwards for us potential 09's.

Side note: there are so many CC'ers that I didn't meet..too bad. You all may have seen me though..I was the tall skinny black kid with the beret that i wore forwards the whole weekend.

Haha, yes, actually, I did see you!! Hi, I'm Kat, the short blond girl who had no real distinguishing features like a beret.... I guess I wore polo shirts a lot?

Takeheart: My feeling is that Dartmouth has a very welcoming approach to the LGBTQ community. I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone say anything negative about gay people, except for a few Dartmouth Review types...and I've definitely seen more than one guy/guy couple make out in a frat basement. It's an open place and they gay population seems to be growing quickly.
