So, how was your school?

In our mock election it was 58% Kerry, 32% Bush, 10% write-ins.

School was really dark and depressing, but only partly because of the election. When your class has 50 kids in it and 5 of them get in a crippling accident the night before, it's pretty devastating.

yesterday was awful at our school.

a lot of people were depressed. we had some (i call them intelligent) republicans that didn't gloat, and then we had the other ones who rubbed it in everyone faces.

verbal fights broke out in the hallways between girls. people came in with "hope" written on their cheeks before it was official. people started crying when we found out kerry stepped down (we all have laptops). almost all the teachers played the speeches on their laptops during classes. rooms that had TVs showed the speeches.

it was really depressing. the day before we also had a mock election with 400something for Kerry, 100something for Bush, 11 for Nader, and 16 for all the other ones (3-12 school)

and now today it's been raining all day, making it even more depressing. but the fighting has died down which is good.

My school was happy and went on with life. It's almost like the election never happened.

I stayed home wednesday because i was really tired...and also because I knew that sometime during the day it would be officially announced that bush won, and i didn't want to be there for that. I go to a catholic school that's very republican. I heard they watched the speeches in class, with lots of cheering and jeering. But when i went today, everybody was back to their apathetic selves. It seems the election's already old news.
