I'm not being lazy I just really suck at math and honestly don't get it even if it's the cp level and I understand that eventually I will have to get it when I take it again in College.

I might just end up dropping it in after 1st semester is over....

All my other stuff outweighs that ugly side of the coin right?

3.2 GPA - top quarter in class
My SAT scores are in the mid and high ranges they have listed for the average

I take AP English and a Psychology course at a nearby college
will have played 4 years of tennis by the spring and participated in our computer club for 4 years too.

I also did about 50 hours of volunteer work at a nursing home
I put my soul and heart into my essay for the application so they should like it.

I'm waiting for one teacher to do a recommendation letter for me and will have everything sent out before the holidays meaning I most likely wouldn't get a decision until January. It'll be a loooong holiday break as I think about this......:/

if you’ve a point of no return in terms of your grade, talk to your teacher…if you have no other options in academic terms, talk to the university about it…if there’s something bothering you (even if you dont know what it is) that’s causing such a low grade, get some counseling; there’s nothing to be ashamed of

but for god’s sake, soldier on and keep trying until the end of the semester…it sounds like youre stuck in an infinite pit of despair :(

regardless kean is one of the easier NJ schools to get into from what ive heard…so they might just overlook the F anyways…

Well I do have the class on audit now so if I could somehow manage a D average it’ll be a Pass, but I’m still failing and struggling to get a hold on it :/

anyone know someone personally who still made it into their school despite failing a class (not a top notch school)

I say drop it lol u will get into kean without pre Calc maybe even with the f but I’d rather get into kean and not have an f on my transcript

I’m gonna discuss this with my counselor one more time - at first she was sure she could do it when I asked, but then another time said she wasn’t sure had to check, then told me in December (right before break) that her supervisor said I’m not allowed to leave. I have a friend who is about to leave physics when the semester is over…

I gotta know why he’s allowed to leave…

You should be allowed to leave but since it’s so far into the year you will get a w on ur transcript which meant that you withdrew and dropped the class.
