So a lot of people who frequent this site probably know a great deal of knowledge about the college admissions process, perhaps maybe even more than some school counselors.

Anyone given a thought to being a College Counselor after College? Great chance to change world ya know...

I'm starting to think that maybe becoming an adcom can be an interesting career. If it doesn't hurt for law school admissions, I may take a few years off and work as an adcom for my college (mostly to get in with the law school adcoms) because I think I may actually have a passion for this crap. My parents will disown me though.

^lol, I've thought about the same thing! it seems like it would be a pretty interesting job... it's hardly a great thing to talk about as plan for after going through college though...

It would be nice to travel around the country bragging about how great your last 4 years have been. You can't argue with that. Also, actually reading applications and seeing how stuff behind doors works would not be an opportunity I would want to pass up. However, I'd assume the hours are godawful and the pay is not close to the amount I would be earning with slightly worse hours on Wall Street.

and they probably get really sick of seeing applications...
