Greasy, I suspect.

Not that I don't like greasy foods :P

Excellent (Cornell).

Okay (Boston College).

The actual quality isn't too bad (UNH)

Problem is they serve bad varieties. As in the food choices they serve don't go well together.

It's only good during preview, move-in (parents are here), open house, etc. The other times it's the same stuff put together in weird ways. My school is so small that the cafeteria (there is one!) is only open from 7am-8pm or so, and in between "meal" times, they only have a few things out like fruit, cereal, burgers, etc. This is at Embry-Riddle, who has a contract with Chartwells. So, you have to go at peak meal times and prepare to have the same stuff all the time. Doesn't help that I'm vegetarian either...

Needless to say I haven't gotten a meal plan again since freshman year!

inconsistent, sometimes decent, sometimes really bad. (UIUC)

Not too bad, good selection, just rip off prices. (IU)

Terrible at the dining hall but can be absolutely amazing off campus. (Tulane)

Very good... for dorm food (UCLA)

Still, "Very good" gets exhausting day in and day out, especially when its dorm food. It's nice to eat fruit that's not bruised sometimes.

Ours is really unhealthy (which is weird considering about 1/3 of the people in there are dancers). Every day there is pizza, hamburgers, grilled cheese, sandwich fixings, a salad bar, cereal, and bagels. And then at the exhibition area, there's usually either pasta, caesar salad, stir fry, or something else swimming in oil. And then there's an area that usually does a meat dish or some sort, occasionally with fish or pasta. And of course, there's usually cookies, pudding, and ice cream for dessert.

I mean really, compared to the horror stories I've heard, it's not too bad, but it's like the same things every week. We also have a small cafe that does sandwiches, salads, baked goods, coffee, and various drinks and ice cream. But I almost never go there.
