It's all done. I've applied regular decision for Dartmouth! And now we wait....in the meantime, would you mind giving your opinion on my chances?

Regular Decision: major undecided (either Linguistics, English or Theology)

Senior year class rigor: 5 APs (most challenging that I could)...I have taken 2 additional APs and 5 or 6 honors courses

Test Scores: ACT Composite - 34 (English 36, Math 34, Reading 34, Science 30)... have yet to hear about Subject Test scores but they're probably not so good, so this might decrease my chances a bit. Took Literature, Spanish, and Math II.

Grades: Current GPA is 4.03 (weighted) and I think about 3.88 (unweighted). School doesn't rank.

Essay: Wrote about the irony that exists as a result of America's prejudice against Arabs and Muslims, related it to a personal experience with my stepbrother (he is Iraqi.) Not super standout I'd say, but it was from the heart.

Recommendations: Didn't get to read any from my teachers, but they are both excellent writers and teachers and two of my favorite people in my school. Peer recommendation came from my friend, another RD applicant, who writes extremely well and knows me in many contexts.

Extra Curricular and Service:

Started an international aid organization during my sophomore year...I have led a group twice now to Zimbabwe to carry out student-organized projects and we have raised over $39,000 through presentations to local charities, solicitation of friends and family, etc. This is by far the activity in which I am most entrenched.

Have run cross-country all four years, varsity for three years. Co-captain of the team during my senior year (the friend writing my Peer Rec is the other captain).

Track for three years, varsity all three. Will likely be a captain this spring.

Have performed at least 100 hours of community service, not including my Zimbabwe project, in contexts such as volunteering at my local School for the Blind and tutoring at a nearby elementary school.

Class president my junior year. Class representative during my freshman, sophomore, and senior years. Lots of service done through this as well.

Conservation club member (probably won't help haha)

Work experience at a nearby restaurant (busboy)

National Honor Society/Book Award Winner for another college

Ethnicity: White
Legacy: N/A
Income bracket: Not applying for financial aid

Thanks for your time!
