Like the title says, I was accepted as a transfer into both W&M and UVA, but am having the hardest time deciding between the two, both obviously being great schools..
At W&M I would be studying finance, where at UVA I would be doing econ (financial concentration)... I plan to go for banking upon graduation. Finance had always been my original intention, but due to my current lack of foreign language credits McIntire was a no go for me, hence the application to CAS econ at UVA. Looking at both programs, I am realizing that either could be really good..
Can anyone provide any insight as to why I should pick one school, one of the programs over the other?? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Go to each campus and find out which one suits you more. Both the schools are academically pretty much on par, it all comes down to what you prefer.

I’m from UVA. I was accepted into both schools senior year as well so i’ll give you a run down on why i chose UVA.

1) Money: UVA has more money than W&M, which means more opportunities and better financial aid
2) Name: UVA undergrad is awesome
3) Campus: I do agree with sudstar, go to the campus. W&M is like dead-poet society…romantic but gets pretty boring after a week. UVA has some pretty amazing architecture.
4) Student personalities: (this is the most important) I don’t know about W&M kids but UVA kids are competitive. I am a pre-med but I also know pre-com kids and they are INTENSE.

Come to UVA if you’re ready to work but party like crazy! Come to UVA if you’re not scared to compete for grades against other top rank students in the nation. Last but not least, come to UVA if you want an education that will prepare you for graduate school or work.
