So I got offered an actuarial internship as a current freshman...

Right now, I'm a freshman at Northwestern University. I am all but set on majoring in math, and I might double major in econ as well. I've been applying for internships left and right at smaller boutiques in nyc (from long island) but it's a ***** getting one.

Anyways, a family friend of mine helped me secure an internship at the actuarial department at ING in London next summer, and I will almost certainly take this internship position (unless one of the smaller boutiques call me back, which I highly doubt since it's May). I was wondering if the experience that I would gain here would help at all in terms of job experience and my resume seeing as right now, I'm considering IB.

Thanks!

Yes, working at a F500 will help you more than doing nothing over the summer.

…?
