So I guess Columbia goes 1 day early

Kids are receiving their emails and posting results right now. (I am such a lurker!) Which schools notify their EDs tomorrow? Are there other dates for other schools? I don't think I even know anyone who applied ED to Columbia. Must be too close.

They did one day early last year, too. S didn't realize this, and I didn't tell him about the rumors, so he found out unexpectedly when he checked email on the way to bed that night. Was a pretty cool surprise.

I mentioned this to my son, and he said, "ooooohhhh 2.5 gigs! I'm in!!! " I gave him a blank stare.... he had to explain it to me, "You know, the FAT email.."

Hooray for your son! enjoy the moment!

NJres,

Congratulations on your son's acceptance to Columbia.

NJres:

Congrats!

That was my 10th grader!! He was making a JOKE!! As I said, we don't know anyone who even applied ED at Columbia. I think it is too close. Sorry for the confusion! :)

SORRY i'm not a parent, BUT YAY, i was accepted... haha, i feel it's my duty to inform everyone... albeit i'm a junior and still can't go... have to explain that to the admissions office, especially since i cancelled my ed to seas about 2 weeks ago... anyway... still ecstatic :)

Och. The usual blood and pain. For a lot of these kids, it's the first sign that they're not invulnerable or immortal.

Sac posted a nice message in one of the threads. I tried to.

The next couple of weeks are going to be hard.
