So I had a break down. Rant time.

Oh...right. I'm surprised I didn't notice that.

^^ Notice what?

-Honors Anthro: B.
-Spanish 3: B.
-Honors Chem: B+.
-AP English: B+/A-.
-AP Calc AB: C-.
-AP World History: A.

err....if it makes you feel better, your grades are really good. A 4.0 by my school's system.

Haha. How does that work?

We don't get a boost for honors. What I meant by low, I meant it's not the normal me. Does that make sense?

This makes me feel better:

"________, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference."

Fill in with your deity/non-deity of choice.

Thanks. I do meditate. (I believe in the One, a great spirit, collection of souls). Which is why I draw on the strength of others.

I went to the therapist today and she officially diagnosed me with moderate-severe depression. I'm going to start going every week and they started me on anti-anxiety and sleeping pills. I feel better already because now I know I have help.

Thank you all though. You've been great.

Daw! hug I sympathize, on many counts.

Having personally just: broken up with my bf, taken a dive in my grades, messed things up big time with my family, and gotten a pretty bad medical diagnosis, I can tell you that THERAPY HELPS!!!

There are a lot of adults in my community that I talk to, including my "therapist" (she hates being called that) from the guidance office, my computer teacher, my physics teacher, and my academic adviser. It helps a lot to get things off your chest, and sometimes the adults in your life are the only ones with enough perspective to see that. I can see that things are really rough for you right now, but hopefully the medication will help, and I'll offer you some of advice that I've held on to.

Think about the future. Think about who you want to be, the things you want to do. Look at your life the way it is now and think about what makes you unhappy - can you change/fix/get rid of it? If not, the future isn't that far away. If so, DO IT! You may be uncomfortable, particularly when it comes to addressing relationship issues, but you will feel a lot cleaner and more relieved in the end.

hug I hope you keep us updated on what's going on, and I sincerely pray for your happiness.

-Kam

Im guessing that they put you on SSRI Anti-Depressants.

Take my advice, and NEVER miss a dose or try to get off them cold turkey.

You will get insane withdrawal symptoms.

(From personal experience on a very low dose)

ah well u got it out of ur system and it feels good doesnt it?
ur still strong. u find help for urself and ur fighting through
depression does hurt. but ull get through it. im sure of that (:
