so, i had a schedule change for this semester

and i emailed NYU about it, but they never emailed back...this was over a month ago.

should i call...?

wombat,

I remember your asking the question a while back but I do not remember what the schedule change was. Something about dropping out of an honors or AP class? At the time, I remember thinking that it did not appear to be a very significant factor, but I cannot be sure if I have recollected your situation correctly.

It does not hurt to call after such a long time. Did you communicate with your NYU regional admissions counselor? I think it is a good idea to reach out by phone (to the admissions office if you do not have the regional counselor’s #) at this point to resolve a matter that has you concerned. It is also part of the assertiveness you should be learning and practicing as part of your life skills. Furthermore, it is good to know you can approach “authority” figures and express your concerns directly to see if you can get the response you need. This is already part of your “college” and life education. So, go for it! I hope you get a satisfactory answer.

actually, it was the other way around, i dropped an elective to take on another AP, haha :)

but thank you, i will do that. i just didn’t want to pester because i just know that NYU has their hands full to bursting with the influx of apps this year so i waited, thinking that they must have a backlog of things right now and don’t really have time to worry about something as trivial as a schedule change. but, thanks again, i will call :)

Hmmm. I emailed them and they got back to me 2-3 days later (if that long). Did you email that special address, something like ops.nyu…? It’s not a big deal though if your adding an AP, I dropped a math class straight up and didn’t replace it with anything for second semester and they said “That’s fine.”

do you know the email address? i’m looking up the regional information and i don’t know whether to email a regional counselor or what. especially since my region isn’t even mentioned…lol
