So I have a question about highschool math classes.

OK to start when I was in 6th grade I was in all the honors classes, but the high school next in line was really bad and the when I was in 6th grade someone was stomped out and both their legs were broken. So my mom decided we needed to move, and even though she meant well if she had researched the school district we would have found it my new school was just as bad if not worse. OK so even though I was in honors classes in middle school it doesn't matter at my new school so I was just put in 7th grade math. To make things worse my school had this retarded math program called a and b which was a mix of all the other math classes it was just stupid. So they just changed to like algebra, then geometry then so on. OK so i got good grades and everything, but you couldn't go into an honors course load if you didn't start in one in 7th so I was screwed. So in 8th grade I took math 8 and in 9th i took algebra. So then my mom and I talked to guidance about taking geometry either over the summer or take geometry and algebra 2/ trig in the same year. But they were lazy and unwilling to compromise and so I only took geometry this year, and next I will take algebra 2/ trig then senior year take cat (college algebra/ trig 4 half year then pre calc other half). I wanted to know if you can either skip algebra 2/ trig and go into cat which is just a little more in depth or take algebra 2 / trig and go straight into ap calc? Please answer soon.

If you’re school is that *****y about Geo/Alg 2 concurrently, you probably couldn’t get your way.

use paragraphs

Ok so I’m sorry for not using paragraphs, but can someone post if they have skipped the classes or just know if is possible to skip them. And thank you mathcountser for posting

If you really want to learn the material then just sign up for community college math classes, which will move far faster than whatever you’re taking in HS. You might still have to take an HS math class but they sound pretty simple from what you’ve described.

tl;dr

10char

Ok so I have a question about taking classes at a community college, would they help my gpa and would I be able to put that on my college application?
