Deal with it or get professional help. Nothing else to it.

Second semester senior, not worth the trouble now. Just stay away.

You’re almost there Saugus. Just a few more months. . .and you will start the best four (or six or so) years of your life. . .

You should talk to someone about that. That’s a pretty serious matter.

Any abuse is wrong. But why specify “Asian” parents? Aren’t there abusive parents in every race?

Some kids have the misfortune to have unreasonable or bad parents. If you find ways to demonstrate your will and independence, you may be able to modify their behavior. Seek outside help and counsel (relatives, teachers, etc) if necessary.

Physical abuse is serious, that needs to be dealt with. Emotional abuse is also serious, and drives many teens to depression.

I hope you’re able to get help.

I believe Saugus has said in the past that the location of “Massachusetts—> University of South Carolina '15” was to trick someone and that (s)he was actually a current junior.

^
Yup… 18 months left.

i’m more inclined to believe that these ‘minor things’ aren’t really so minor and that you’re just misrepresenting the situation to appear as though you’re a victim

national child abuse hotline = 1-800-422-4453

even if you don’t call, you can at least threaten to.

I think he is specifying because Asian parents are stereotyped to be more abusive than white parents. I don’t know what he really means by “abusive” like physical abuse; however, i have white parents and they tend to get frustrated at trivial things, but they would never “physically” abuse me.

Hitting, maybe, but then I tend to raise my eyebrows at people who shout “abuse!” I’m sure my (Asian) mother’s behavior when I was young could have been child abuse in the United States. I was corporally punished very frequently, and also yelled at over trivial things. I’m not scarred because of that. But do elaborate. How severe, and in what way?
