So I have it from a low source within UCLA that...

aam90, transferguy has been very negative and doesn’t believe in ursa that much. I mean here’s the deal. It’s more likely that sweetnezz and all of you that can’t see will get admitted, than all of us who could see it to get rejected. It would totally be unfair for us to be seeing finaid and then get disapointed. so I think everyone has a chance still supposing you have good stats.

Cheeser,

ha.

i don’t know about my chances. i have a 4.0 and the pre-reqs for my major done, but i didn’t take that damn math class. i’m hoping for an exception, but not expecting to get in at all.

aaam90 and chesser i’m not sure about the 2 column update, it’s a coin toss at this point, it seems like it could be the case from previous years as it would be 2 days before official decisions (hopefully) but it really depends. i mean just because decisions are released on wednedsay does not mean that everybody will find out that day, it goes up until the beginning of may i believe.

aaam can you see the finaid on ursa? why don’t you expect to get in if you see the finaid? sweetnezz, from previous years do people who see the finaid on ursa get accepted on the last batch like early may? Or do they usually get accepted in the first batches?

Sweetnezz, that is correct. But the majority of the decisions are released on that Wednesday.

I’m not worried about EVERYONE being able to see their summary and getting rejected. I’m worried about ME being the one person who can see her summary, yet still gets rejected. And I totally agree that as my acceptance to UCLA becomes more and more real, the more appealing the school becomes.

i can’t see the finaid chesser. i’m hoping to but highly doubt i will get in.

aaam90, so did you not complete IGETC? I’m taking stats this semester and JUST found out I was supposed to have completed my math by the fall before I transfer for my UCSD TAG. Whoops. (Still haven’t heard from UCSD, btw.)

aaam, did you apply for FAFSA?

FeeFee let’s remain positive. History shows NOBODY has been rejected after seeing the finaid. you’ll be fine your going to get admitted. I think sweetnezz has provided enough motivation, and she hasn’t even received her finaiad and still is in high spirits.

^ like the mother you never had… and never wanted.

FeeFee you are taking this math class right now and can see finaid? sweetnezz what do you think about this? what’s your major feefee? Then ok you must have written an incredible essay or have great EC, high GPA. Like I say, odds of you getting rejected are 0%.

yeah i did apply for FAFSA, why do you ask??

and also at FeeFee, i don’t QUITE know what the IGETC is, i’m a first year coming from a four-year private college in los angeles. i just took the courses that i saw i needed to complete for the major at UCLA but then ended up not being able to take that math class. my major is not impacted at all and probably one of the less popular ones. the reason i’m able to transfer after one year is because i have a lot of AP units so it put me over the 60 i needed. but i’m still not sure if they’ll make an exception for me not taking the required math for transferring.

Oh, okay. Then that makes more sense. Did you indicate that you would complete the required math class during the summer, or anything like that? Yeah, AP tests are the reason I’m transferring after just a year also . . . they pretty much rock. If I had known, I would have taken way more.

I agree. They do rock.

If they accept me, I would totally take the math class over summer, but as I understand, the courses are to be completed the spring before transferring. Also, that is the only one I’m missing. I fulfilled the English requirements and what not.

The decisions are already made, so it really doesn’t matter whether or not I “stay positive.”

Yep, I’m in the class now and can see finaid. Counselors never said a word to me, and I could have easily just taken the class last semester. BUT I’m an English major, so a math class isn’t important for anything except IGETC requirements, and I have a 4.0 and a TAP with UCLA.

FeeFee no worries, your fine. like I said, if you can see finaid, no way you’ll get rejected.

aaam, they do allow you to complete major prereqs over the summer, so it couldn’t hurt for them to know that you at least PLAN on taking a math class. If all falls through, that would forgetting to tell them you’re taking math over the summer could be grounds for appeal, but I’m sure you’ll get in anyway. I don’t think they expect you to complete IGETC unless you’re transferring from community college.

No tap w/o finishing math requirement by FALL, if Im not mistaken.

Its that way for tag at many, so I have to assume TAP is only MORE strict on this issue.
