So I have to make a choice again

First of all, I have to make it clear that I am not a competitive athlet at all. I am now facing a decision to make in my fall term. I can either join the JV cross-country team which is an interscholastic sport. It will be very time consuming and exhuasting since I will have to pratice 2h30mins and run 5miles almost every day. And it literally will make me stay up every night to finish my homework. Or I can simply participate in my school intrumural soccer league which is like a club sport, which will give me a lot of time to pursue some of my other EC's and to study for my hardcore course load. Which one should I choose? Will being on a JV sport team really draw adcom's attentions? Will they look at club sport very differently from median level interscholastic sport? I have already had varsity volleyball.

please help

What draws adcoms' attention is a student's participating in an activity that they are good in and care deeply about. Consequently, follow your heart. This may mean not doing a sport at all if another type of activity is what would make you happy.

Adcoms will not care whether you did JV or intramural soccer. What makes their eyes light up is students' pursuing their interests with talent, creativity and passion.

If you are planning on using athletics as a hook, no. So, I have to agree with NSM's advice.
