so i just failed my driver's test...

and how are things like that life skills anyway?

haha sorry, i know i’m being kinda bitter about it.

don’t worry, basically everyone i know failed it the first time, at least
i’m about to take it next week haha i hope i do alright.
good luck for your second time around!

@ ariaa
Nah, he wasn’t being secretly racist. He said his brother’s ethnicity was the reason for poor driving.

No one acts racist to one’s own race.

Anyway, I got an 80 on the written exam (the bare minimum). My exam had some crazy questions though.

LOOOL

Not that the two are related at ALL, but I got a 2390 on the SAT and am a terrible driver!

Actually, last year, I got my 2390 and drove onto a median strip on a highway in the same week! D: Nobody let me live down either one for a week or two… one kid I barely know was like “Watch out for the median strip!” when I was walking down the hallway. :[[[

I did fine on the written test for the permit, but I still don’t have my license, lol. My permit actually expired because I still hadn’t gotten the necessary hours after a year… uggghhh.

Oooh, and some of the permit questions are ridiculously easy, but some are really obscure – it’s mostly about luck. My friend failed three times hahahahah.

There are some pretty hard questions on there lol.

definitely… this thread is so comforting

The actual driving part is way more stressful and difficult than the permit test though.

good to know… once i fail that i’ll let you know as well

I’m 99.9% sure that’s what blu_g8orade was referring to. ;)

The questions are much harder than those. Or, at least, they were much harder on mine (CA, if it makes any difference).

Anyways, I’m half-Asian, and I passed it my first time. :)

I failed the driving test twice, though. My testers were very anal. :(

HAAHAHHAHAHAH g1

yeah I’m in MA and my questions literally were that easy. The hardest one was about insurance and what happens when you get in an accident: Does insu go up or down? The test is literally five min long. I passed the road test the first time as well but it was WAAAAY more stressful and awkward and quiet compared to the conditions I normally drive under.

oh geez it must vary by states then. here in cali the questions are hard, but some of my friends said that the drive test was chill when they took it.

My cousins are in california too so I know about it. I think that you have to go on to the highway in CA for the road test, I’m not sure but that’s what I heard.

if you think about it, the MA way makes more sense. who cares how far a bike headlight can see or how much you’ll get fined for parking in a handicapped space? the actual driving is much more important.

Considering this website, I’m surprised you didn’t ask how this would affect your college admissions.

Actually, if an admissions office finds out you didn’t pass the license test, you probably won’t get in. I hate to say it but they want even more well rounded students and driving gives everyone that edge. Who wants a perfect score when they have to walk everywhere?

I remember that I missed the question (in Ohio) about the penalty for driving drunk under age 21. I thought that you lose your license for two years, but apparently it’s only 60 days. Whatever.

No worries.

I passed my driver’s test on my THIRD try. (behind-the-wheel). And where I live, you have to retake your permit test if you fail three times. Moreover, you have to wait two weeks before you try to take the exam the 2nd or 3rd time. Two weeks after my second try was the day before my permit would have expired anyway! eeek!

I wrote my college essay on it haha. Any readers? PM me

^ Hehe, I remember your essay. :)

Written test in CA had a couple of tricky answers, but most are common sense. Behind the wheel was easy as well, tester just tells you where to drive and judges your driving. Passed both on my first try.

I really wish it was like Europe, where you are required to have a ton of classroom time and practicing. No wonder we have so many terrible drivers around here. It’s way too easy to get your license
