okay…so my sophmore year i had alotta changes in my life and i basically slacked off and got a d in my ap euro and ap enviro classes. but this year i have a full 3 aps and next year i plan to do the same, and get all a’s because i am pretty sure i am capable of it. do you think i could still have a chance at upenn or any other good school for that fact?

Of course you do, just make sure to write decent essays...

Getting an application with some D's on it might actually be yet another form of diversity which Penn loves to see in its students, but then again I'm no admissions officer!

Hah, that's definitely not 'diversity'

I did the same thing my sophmore year, accept the classes weren't as tough and I got 2 C's. (My school doesn't offer AP...sigh)

The D's being "diversity"; as much as I would like to agree-, Never a good thing.

and did you get in with your C's? im applying ED and i got a C in Precalc but alll as otherwise- im alos having my ap ab calc teacher write an explanation- should i be okay?

I don't know yet, come december I will. I'm applying this year, ED. So I guess that I still have a good chance of getting in with great essays and teacher recs, I hope.

I say we all just apply and hope we get in.

--Best of luck to all--
