<p>I'm applying to transfer from James Madison University to the University of Virginia. I am currently a first year student. I was wait listed the first time, last spring.</p>

Weighted GPA: 3.7 (low but I had a 3.5 the first two years, and brought it up with a upward trend)
SAT: M670, CR700, W740
SAT IIs: Lit 650, USHIST, 780
APs: took 5 courses in two years, received three 4s and two 5s.
Varsity Track and field and XC, all four years
Student Government junior and senior years
President Young Democrats
Spanish Award of Excellence sophomore and junior years
AP English and History Student of the Year
Case Day (a huge SCOTUS event at my high school, took 3 months of prep for a moot court, I have rec explaining it)
3 great teacher recommendations.</p>
<p>College: JMU first semester GPA 3.86 all As except for health, in which I received a B+.
One solid Professor recommendation.</p>
<p>I'm dying of anxiousness, especially since the first year admissions were so brutal this year. I find out May 1. Honest appreciated.</p>
