military child

from tennessee, looking at engineering at stanford (ea?), princeton, MIT, columbia SEAS, rice, and georgia tech

oh and i'm a senior and all 4s & 5s on my aps (8 so far), this year I'm taking english literature, psych, environmental science (not just because it's easy, I'm really interested in the environment), spanish language, and bio (all ap), econ honors, and differential equations correspondence course through UT-Knoxville

Only problem is that your ECS are very similar to many of your competing applications. There is not much that stands out. It also would have helped you more if you were executive officer/board member in more of those clubs.

However, you GPA/SAT/ACT/SATII are excellent
make sure u write a killer essay and receive outstanding recs

Princeton: Reach (as is any HYP)
Stanford: Low Reach/High Match
MIT: Reach
Columbia: LOW reac
Rice: Match
Georgia: Low match? (not sure)

Stanford is a reach for you, as your ECs aren't really based around your desired major, and athletics are missing.

thanks. does choosing ecs based on your other passions (not necessarily just your major) really play a huge part in admissions?

No, but if you don't demonstrate passion for something, it will be very difficult to distinguish yourself from the many thousands of other students with excellent academics. ECs are one of the top ways to do this.
