<p>I think you may be at a disadvantage (lower priority) when you sign up for classes. If you are considering some very high-demand classes like popular AC courses, they are most likely to be full by your CalSO date. So I would suggest getting some backup classes.</p>
<p>One of my friends said the university allocates only a certain number of spots for each CalSO session, so a later CalSO date is not a disadvantage in registering for classes. Is this true?</p>
<p>orochi: not 100% sure, but a system like that, though fair, would be complicated and hard to implement. there is only two list for each class: those who are registered and guaranteed a seat, and those on the waitlist.</p>
