So, yeah. I got into UC Berkeley for Fall 2008 and decided to go there. 5.0 UC GPA, 2300 SATs. Unfortunately, I got a little too (read: WAY TOO *ING MUCH) careless in my final semester of my senior year and got 2 D's. Needless to say, I was scared *less. I agonized over it all summer, trying to work up the courage to beg my teachers' for a grade change. The deadline for the transcript passed, but I managed to convince the admissions office to give me some extra time on on it by telling them I was overseas (which wasn't totally a lie). I went to orientation and moved into my dorm like any normal student. I finally managed to work up the nerve beg my old teachers (and managed to convince them on the strength of my AP scores), but I ran out of time before they could change it and my admission was canceled. Even if I somehow managed to appeal the cancellation, despite the fact that the assistant director of the admissions office quite vehemently told me that nothing could be done, I wouldn't exactly have classes to go to what with the over-enrollment and bloated classes Berkeley's having.

So... now it's a good two weeks after all the CCs in my area have started class. My admissions to other universities are obviously null (although I have yet to try and beg... that should start tomorrow). What the hell should I do now?

I'd love to get back to Cal ASAP, although it especially sucks that it's one of the two campuses that don't let you apply for spring admission. I can't really go to any CCs. All the CSUs have closed enrollment too...

Also, I know. I'm stupid. I'm a coward and kind of dishonest. I could have gotten this taken care of if I'd decided to confront it sooner. But I really need some help now.
