so if my efc is 0 without a * next to it

<p>does that mean I'm going to get financial aid?i just enrolled in 1 more unit today making that 12 units.how much should i get...like I know my parents can't help out with anything but letting me borrow a car til I save up enough with this job I just got.</p>

<p>OK…you didn’t ask for this opinion, but I’ll express it anyway. If you are VERY concerned about financial aid, I would suggest that you NOT purchase a car and use the money you earn from your job for expenses related to your living and college expenses. Is the car a necessity? If not…don’t buy it. Cars tend to be money pits.</p>

<p>the star next to your EFC means that you have been selected for verification. The school will contact you in regards to this. You will need to submit whatever they ask for – usually W2s and income tax forms.</p>

<p>This isn’t because you did anything wrong – I think the majority of 0 EFC students are selected for verification (I have been every year)</p>
