So if my sister went to USC...

What are the benefits I receive? I'm curious mostly about financial benefits if any.

I hope I don't sound too much like I'm exploiting my sister haha.

Heck, my brother went to Duke University. So I guess this thread is just how sibling legacy affects admission/finance to private universities in general.

galbitang - doesn’t affect the admission. Being a legacy will only affect the admissions process if your relative has done something spectacular. Take for instance my friend was accepted to USC because he has a long line of Trojans in his family. He had approx 3.3 GPA, has an uncle (USC) in the NFL Hall of Fame, another uncle (USC) who played NFL as a QB, cousin (USC) was a first rounder for Green Bay this year, sister plays for soccer (USC), mom & dad graduated (USC), cousin plays as a safety (USC) and etc.

That’s the only time I’ve ever seen legacy actually working. I applied in HS and my brother graduated from USC and he was also student body president and that didn’t help. As for financial benefits, none. My other brother got accepted to USC and didn’t receive any financial benefits.

Haha, you made it too easy to figure out who you were talking about MakeBank24!

Clay Matthews?
