So if we got waitlisted.. do we get a DECISION by 4-15 or just an update?

call the admissions and they told me they would be sending out a email to everyone with just a update. Recieved mine ealier today and it just kept me on the waiting list until June 15th. Good luck to anyone else im moving on in life

Just received the same email. I dont know what kind of clowns they’re admitting to their school…but moving on sounds like a great plan. I have a few other choice words I’d like to express…but I’ll refrain.

Dude I thought we’d get decisions! I’m finished with these folks. If anyone hasn’t seen, it says:

Dear Cody,

I am writing to update you on the status of your application for admission to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities for fall semester 2010.

As we have shared previously, a record number of students applied for admission this year. We are very grateful for the strong interest in the University from so many talented students, but it is very important that we stay within the University’s enrollment limit to ensure that incoming freshmen have access to the classes, faculty, and advisers necessary to support their academic success and their timely graduation.

Based on the number of admission offers that have been made, we are unable to offer you admission at this time. However, over the coming weeks, we will continue to closely monitor the number of admitted students who confirm their enrollment, and if space becomes available we will admit the overall strongest applicants who remain on the waitlist.

If you would like to be considered for admission should space become available, please let us know by clicking one of the links below. Applicants selected for admission will be notified of their admission decisions in writing as soon as possible but no later than June 15, 2010.

Yes. Please keep my name on the U of M waitlist.

No. Please remove my name from the U of M waitlist.

We very much appreciate your interest in the University of Minnesota. We will be pleased to consider your application again in the event that space becomes available in the freshman class.

Sincerely,

Got a standard letter size envelope today and it says… “Congratulations! It gives me great pleasure to inform you that you have been admitted to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities for Fall 2010…”

The letter was dated April 14, just a day after my application status changed on the tracker to “April 13, 2010: Your application is being very carefully considered.”

I’m an international transfer btw, so hopefully the rest of you will hear back soon!

@vickyu: Congratulation on your acceptance. Which major did you apply for? I’m also an international transfer and I applied for Carlson school. My app tracker haven’t changed to “being carefully consifered” yet.

Hey Guys,

I’m a prospective transfer student (Freshman - Second Semester) and I got this update (CLA) on Apr. 15th:

“April 15, 2010: A very careful, overall assessment of your application, transcript, and other materials has been completed. After extensive consideration, your application has been placed on a waitlist for the College of Liberal Arts. A letter and additional information has been mailed.”

I was wondering if any other transfers got waitlisted? Best of luck to you all.

i got accepted on feb 4th

CLA. I completed my app in mid Jan and the documents in mid Feb, hope this helps.

I was just curious so I checked the application tracker and it says this for me:

Thank you for your continued interest in the University of Minnesota. At your request, we will again consider your application in the event that space becomes available in the fall 2010 freshman class. If space becomes available, students selected for admission will be notified as soon as possible, but no later than June 15.

Of course, I hit the button that said “remove me” in a e-mail I got bcus I alrdy decided to attend a different college.

Okay I was admitted to CLA a while ago, but I was put on a waiting list for Carlson. After school today I checked my status and it gave me this

“Your enrollment confirmation for the Carlson School of Management has been received. Welcome to the University of Minnesota community! Throughout the coming months you will receive information from your college regarding new student orientation, registration, and more.”

Does this mean I am accepted at Carlson?

Did you accept to Carslon? I have same status now
