So, if you didn't get the call...

HAhaha no idea I know it wasn't them but maybe ill just convince myself to ease my mind for the next couple days

You know how it is, rameezkhan :P

A few days before admissions come out, and you become paranoid. Every anonymous call is a call from a UC, every email a likely letter, and every lack of the mentioned is a rejection.

Nerve-racking time for us all. Moreso if your first admission from your first-choice school was a rejection xD

Totally, r31ncarnat3d...I'm freaking out. If I don't get into UCSD I'm most likely not gonna get into UCLA and I'll have to go to community college T_T I've worked to hard in high school to do that!

What's wrong with going to a community college?

Nothing is wrong with it, its just I've worked hard in high school to get into a four year university as a freshman.

Nothing is wrong with a community college, IMO. I would love to go to one to help myself financially, only my parents are of the strict asian variety. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but seeing as how I don't have the money to move out, if I don't get into a UC, it'll be two years of constant reminders of how much of a "failure" I am to them T_T

But I digress. Nothing is wrong with a CC, and IMO, it's a better option than a UC for those who do not have money and financial aid does not help them enough.

Uh oh.

I got 7 calls from a number i never saw before a few days ago....

And I didn't pick up cuz i screen my calls and they didn't leave a message.

You would think that they would leave a message if I didn't pick up, right?

r31ncarnat3d, this is so nerve-racking. According to the Countdown for '08 on UCSD, decisions were released at 12:30 PM on the 15th! AHH! I'm being psychotic. Save me.

wait does that mean the morning of the 15th?

Muserz: All speculation at this point, based on the decision date from last year. Let's just hope it is :x

For UCD, the decision date was one day after the day last year, so maybe it might be that way with UCSD too.

I'm guessing they didn't want to post decisions on Friday the 13th. =P

I'm gonna throw up...faint

Wow Muserz, you really are breaking apart over there o_o

Your body just mixed up the signal for emptying your stomach contents with the signal to cease all conscious brain functions o_o

XD I've been having panic attacks for two weeks.

OMG three days three days three days OMG!!!
Haha. I'm hyperventilating over here.

I had a massive panic attack once I saw the Admissions matrix and found out that I was below the predicted cutoff. Oh well. I think I have come to accept the fact that I probably won't be getting in. But good luck to everyone else who still has hope!

The predicted cutoff, I believe, depends on your major. Less popular major = lower cutoff. Which I think is how i got in.

Not too comforting for a Biochem major.

The sad part is that I wanted to change to EE/CompSci only about a month ago. Eek! Still popular majors, but less so than biochem!

According to this UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering

It's a two step process. So first you have to be admitted to UCSD and then to your major. I'm not sure it if it's like this for all the departments.

Still reviewing application, looks like today is not the day!
