So I'm about to be re-taking an SAT 2...

I feel like this is unheard of. Will colleges look unfavorably at this?

I got a 700 last june on Math 2. I am not like most of the people on this forum though, just your average decently smart kid (if you know what I mean). Normally a 700 would've been fine but it was like 70th percentile or something. The thing is I havent prepared at all, so I dont know how much I will be going up (or down =/) Should I just go for it anyway?

Also for the SAT I, I thought I would be done, but think I might want to take it in Oct
January- CR 600, M 740, W 610
May- CR 590, M 760, W 690
I just want to know if it will look bad if I take it a 3rd time

700 is really good on math 2 bc i heard it was a really hard test…im not sure bc im taking it this week but thats good!

Most colleges don’t care whether or not you took it once or ten times, most will never even know due to score choice.

Meteman is completely right, most colleges (except highly selective ones) won’t see that score and will only see what you choose to send them.

The reason it’s generally unheard of is because they are normally taken following a set period of preparation or a class that would make taking it later more difficult because of forgetting stuff.

truthistreason is correct,

colleges only see the scores that you actually send to them. so in the case if you take once or 5 times, it wouldn’t really matter because they only see what you send them.

Ok… thanks for the replies.

So its a day before the test and I still havent cracked open my old barrons Math 2 book. I’ve been so focused on Chemistry. So if my math score goes down (from my original 700) I shouldnt really worry much, right?
