So I'm buying The Gatekeeper, Rock Hard Apps, A is for Admission, Getting In, etc.

Drelnis,

In all honesty, I don’t know what these guides can tell you as an international student that you can’t get from CC. Your situation is very different from that of the students that they are written for. If you can’t contact the EducationUSA folks by phone or email (since you still have internet service, they might too), I’d suggest that you read through the International Students Forum, sort out one or two smart posters (my favorite is b@r!um) and PM them for specific advice. Back in the last century, I volunteered at the local affiliate of EducationUSA in Caracas. Our counselors were excellent. Many of them were very good at proofreading essays and helping students frame their applications. Since you have several months to pull it together, the counselors in your country may be able to help you with this.

Wishing you all the best at this trying time.

Thx Happymomof1

I’ll definitely e-mail the various EducationUSA centers around Bangkok, (even though their offices are closed I hop ethey still check their e-mail)

There is a curfew going on right now, we’re not supposed to leave the house, and the protesters are setting fire to the most important commercial buildings in the country, it’s really sad :(

I think the essay books are fine, but the actual application books are geared toward domestic applicants. As the other posters have said, you can learn everything you need right here from CC.
