Is it unheard of for people to have extremely good grades but not do well on the SAT or ACT?

Maybe I just have anxiety towards these tests (I'm taking my first SAT II's in January..)

I mean I have all A's.. I take AP classes and honors classes, yet when I take those practice tests, I literally bomb them and I don't get why..: S

Does it just depend on how much you study out of the prep books?

I would think that’s very possible. Maybe a student attends a school with major grade inflation. Just do your best and don’t get too wound about it.

I think it would help you greatly if you took a lot of practice tests.
Time yourself, take the test, and work on the problems you got wrong (with a help of friends and teachers).
From my experience of taking numerous practice tests in the summer,
taking the SAT became easier with practice.
I now finish each section with five to ten minutes to check my answers.

Don’t sweat it. Once you get used to the test, your anxiety will go away.
