My dad's words stick to me like glue. I took up field hockey because of the enjoyment I received, thus I could not quit. If I quit I would be letting myself down. I gave the task devotion because I wanted to come out a winner, not because I had a desire to prove anything to the people around me. By always keeping with me my dad's spoken mantra, I have devoted myself to not only succeeding on the field, but also in every other task I have taken upon. Whether it has been a sport, music, or my passion for science, I have never quit. If I allowed myself to quit, I would be a loser in my eyes. Even if a boulder breaks my path, my mind, speaking through the empowerment of my personal will, pushes it aside. My strength of mind communicates louder and clearer than anything else, telling me to keep going until I have achieved what I yearn for. It tells my mind that I ultimately have to choose what I want despite any momentary feeling. Every time, keeping my goal in mind, I stick with the task I have started with and complete it. I may not always come out on the top, but I always succeed because I refuse to be a quitter. My refusal makes me stronger than a man who is made of 250 pounds of muscle. In my eyes, I am a winner at every task I take on because I have determination, and I will never quit

oh yeah and i have over 100 hrs of community service :)

well i kinda already submitted it…
oh yeah and i’m an in state student…

Amrita, I think you have very good chances. ECs look great as well as strong courseload. Are you instate? If you are interested in sciences/medical I would also look at UMBC, Goucher, Washington & Jefferson, Duquense and Muhlenberg. Best of luck!
