So...is it awkward to be adding friends you've met in class on Facebook?

^^ about that...I've met a few cool people in class (boys & girls) and some are my lab partners. I want to add them on Facebook as friends but I feel it'll be awkward the next time we see each other in class. So yeah, should this be awkward or do people even care? Am I being lame about it also?

why would that be awkward? that’s how real people network, except this is putting it moreso in a structured online format. relax and don’t overthink it.

Don’t do it. They’ll think you’re lame and won’t let you eat at the cool kids’ table.

I do that all the time, it’s no big deal, people don’t make a big deal out of it. I am facebook friends with some kids in my classes that I never even talk to in person, we just ask each other questions on fbook when needed about the course material and it has been a very valuable resource. And then some other kids I am actually becoming better friends with. :P

Yeah, you should add them, especially if they’re working on projects with you. At least that way, you can correspond on facebook about work and stuff instead of asking for the other’s number.

If you’re worried, ask first.

That was easy.

I was wondering about this too at first, but I’ve found the best method is to just add them and don’t bring it up in person unless they do.

^^ yeah, that’s pretty much what I do. :P
