So is research considered an activity I can pursue in college?

<p>For some of the colleges I am applying to (like Harvard and Princeton), they ask what activities I would be most inclined to participate at their college. Choices include like Drama/Dance, Journalism, Student Govt, Community Service, Athletics, etc. </p>

<p>Would it be okay if I put "Other" and then typed in Research for one of the activities? I really do want to do research as early as possible in college, but I wasn't sure if this could be considered an "activity"</p>
