So, I've taken some practice tests and I'm feeling like an idiot...

I'm taking the Math IIC test tomorrow, and I bought the Barron's book. I just started looking at it tonight and took one test. I got an 18/50 on it. I've heard that the book is much much harder than the actual test, but I can't believe it would be THAT much harder. I'm not aiming for anywhere near an 800...I would like a 650+. Is this possible? I made about 4 stupid mistakes, but the rest I don't feel like I can improve on in the next 11 hours (8 of which I'm sleeping). Btw, I got a 680 on the math part of the SAT..

Am I screwed?

For tomorrow, yes, for June, no.

My brain is just fried from practicing for the ap calc test. I’m just using the sat ii as a placement option for my college…I can use the ap test, the sat ii, or an online test. So if I fail the sat ii, I hope to do well on ap, and if I fail that then I can take the online test… =/

i’m kinda in the same position as you, taking ap calc right now, forgot everything in precalc. it probably is too late for tomorrow’s test, but if you bear down and study for a week, you can get 700+ really easily. take it again in june or october and good luck!

Thanks! It’s not that I’ve forgotten pre-calc…I’ve never learned it. My teacher went on maternity leave for 6 months (WHY?) and they got us a horrible sub. I can’t take it in Oct. because I’ll be in college then, but I think I can take it in June…which I guess I will do.

Good luck to you too!

im taking math II, chem, and US History tomorrow. math shouldn’t be too bad if you’re in calc. if you don’t do as well as you’d like, just take it again in june or oct. best of luck. advice: take another practice test and read the answer explanations for everything you got wrong (and right). it helps. oh and try the practice question on the college board website. much easier

Just boosting you all’s confidence here…I found a general scoring table : [SparkNotes: SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2: Math IIC Scoring](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides) and an 18 is a 570. Most people it seems are getting 100+ points higher on the actual test, it seems. So, I am going into the test with hope to get my desired score. :)

AND I just found out that I only need a 550 on the sat ii or a 2 on the AP Calc test to get into Calc 141!!! Whew, I’m pretty sure I’ll get at least the 2; calculus is more my thing, especially with the FRQs.

:DDD Good night everyone, and good luck tomorrow!
