<p>It's just a natural reaction - you pay more attention when people say they like your first choice school. In my case, though, I'm actually right. All the other Yale SCEA applicants told me so. :p</p>

<p>I think I'm the only person at my school who knows about Brown, lol. It's a tiny school where a lot of people slack off or just don't care.</p>

<p>I'm definately not looking at Brown. I have a poor family, so I need to go to a college in Florida in order to have Bright Futures Scholarship pay for everything. I think I'm going to go to the University of Miami. Either there or Florida Tech.</p>

<p>You know, it's really a regional sort of thing; I'm from California (Bay Area) and you'd be surprised how few people know about Brown, much less apply.</p>
<p>UCs and Stanford seem to be THE schools around here.</p>
<p>Oh and to answer the original question, I'm a junior and yeah I'm looking at Brown, but not too seriously. I probably won't apply next year but you never know.</p>

<p>forgottenhawk, i live in the bay area too and all the smart kids at my school know about brown. many have it as their first choice. i dont see why ppl would know less about brown that harvard, yale, princeton, penn, columbia....</p>
<p>Everyone at my school really wants to go to Columbia all of a sudden. I think we're all idealizing NYC because we're from New Mexico.</p>
<p>Everyone at my school wants to go to MIT. Or UF (which is where most people seem to end up going). Or Duke.</p>
