So, I was on the common app site, and I was wondering how I send my application fee with the common app? And if I wanted to send my application through the internet, Do I mail my recs/trans/and EC’s throught snail mail, or scan them and then send them?
Sorry for such basic questions…I’m so lost.

Many colleges let you pay the application fee online with a credit card. If you don't want to do that, there's always snail mail.

I payed online by credit card for the ones that allowed it, and just sent a check in the mail by itself for the ones that didn't.

"Do I mail my recs/trans/and EC's throught snail mail"

Your school will mail your transcript/profile...your teachers will mail the recs and you should put the ECs on the online app itself (put extra info in the "Additional Info" section.)

What if I want to apply to a lot of schools, Does my school mail all of that to the different schools, and for recs...Can I make copies of that since I'm applying to diff schools?

Yes your school will mail it to all the schools.

Give your teachers stamped and addressed envelopes and let them know that they can make copies of the completed form and mail to all the schools.

Okay, thanks, but can't I just do it myself, teacher's at my school are cool about letting you see the rec. letter..

Are the teachers so lazy that they can't make some photocopies and stick 'em in envelopes? :p
I think that yes, you can do it yourself, but make sure to send the recs separately from your part of the app.

im pretty confused about the common app too, but pretty much just the essay section. i want to be able to use the common app for all my schools but i dont want every school to have the same essay. they say something about copying your first common app and applying it to a new one for different schools....???

also, what if you want to apply ed, does it send out the common app to all your schools in nov???even if youre not sure youre even going to apply to them.

if so, do you just make your first profile with just your ed and then make a new list of colleges once u send in that one? i guess thats where copying comes in handy...

im sorry i might sounds a little scattered right now, im kinda tired

You can make as many copies (online) of your common app as you want...then you can change stuff and resend it to different colleges.
Once you send it, you can't edit it, but you can always edit the copy and etc and etc.

So if you're applying early...just send one and then work on the copy of it for your other common app schools.
