So many b's!

Hey guys, I would just like to recieve some opinions on this matter.

I am what you can consider a late bloomer, in some respect. I have always taken the most difficult classes in high school, including the most APs. But I didn't have my priorities straight and freshman year, I got all B's. Sophomore year, mostly As, but two B's. And Junior year, all A's (in all my AP classes) but one 89 in Spanish (Damn!).

I have, imo, awesome extra-curriculars (not just saying that) and high test scores (2290, but retaking, and solid subject tests). I did well on my AP exams too. I hope to write a good essay as well.

I am trying desperately for UPenn, Columbia or Duke (and others), but how likely, even with my poor, poor gpa (but still top 10%) to get into these schools?

Thanks

Your GPA and grade situation is exactly like mine, although your test scores a bit higher. Without knowing your actual GPA, all I can tell you is that colleges appreciate an upward trend in grades and a good junior year, your SAT scores are on par for those schools, and the other aspects of your application have the potential to make up for your lack luster GPA. The chances of you being accepted to at least one of those schools is high.
