So many questions

I think it might be because I'm from Texas, but around here it just seems like the ACT isn't taken as seriously as the SAT. Stanford values them equally, correct? Would it be worth it for me to take the ACT, if I think I can get a 35 or a 36? I got a 2280 on the SAT and I'm not sure if there's a way to convert between the two tests. I took the practice test on the site and got a 36, but I always get nervous when I'm doing the real thing. I think I am going to do bad on the essay, does your composite score incorporate your essay score?(It seemed unclear from the practice test)

On Stanford's site it says they don't count your freshman year, how true is that? I did so bad freshman year.

Last question, If I got suspended in ninth grade for excessive tardies, is that going to be one of those things that keeps me from getting in because I saw I had to put it on the common app.

Thanks in advance.

A 2280 is fine. You don't have to take the ACT or retake the SAT.

I believe they recompute your GPA to remove freshman year grades.

For the suspension, is it on your transcript? Was it an in-school suspension or an out of school one? The way it worked at my high school was that in-school suspensions weren't put on your transcript so you didn't have to tell colleges about them. Out of school suspensions were, so those you had to put on your application. Make sure you know your school's policy and if they have different levels before you list that on the Common App.
