so i just got the email from my prof. saying that my rec letters were on the mail...is that ok the rec letter arrived even before my application? i am kinda scared now as i am not sure how the admission office is gonna treat these letters...should i call them tomorrow or what else should i do? thanks!

same question, what if all of my materials are in for a week, except the actual application! thanks

don't worry about it, those schools will probably just create a folder for your supplementary materials and then add the application to that folder when it's complete.

NYUjosh is correct. It should not be a problem.

yea thats fine. i was worried about the same thing, as josh said they just create a folder for the applicant

thanks, guys..just called in the admission office this morning, and they gave me the same responce..

Just wondering...

Does the same thing apply for one's SATs? Will they create a new folder for you if you have collegeboard send in your SAT scores before you submit your app?

Thanks

yep..i asked the same question also..

I have a related questions... I'm in the process of getting my professor recs, but how should I contact them? I would like to ask them personally, but I don't get want to drop in their office. How can I email them without telling them I would like a letter of rec?

You can email and say you would like to meet with them to discuss your future academic plans. It is okay also to drop in during office hours. You can also say in your email that you are considering whether to stay at xyz U or transfer to another and would like the prof's opinions and advice.
