so nerdy

Im saying that I probably won't meet girls in class. i realize that ones major is not directly correlated to his or her social skills.

im a chick, and three of my classes are all guys. and i'm still single =P its by choice, but it still goes to show your major wont affect your "status", but your own personal choices will.

5.0 mustang - not all of your classes will be 99% male. My basic classes are about 75% male. However, my more specialized EE classes are almost 99% haha or whatever 25/26 is. Thats only 96% =P

i've seen some very pretty girls in engineering. to me, being in engineering is a blessing, because you have priority access to truly intelligent women.

Maybe i should just major in interior design...

Pretty girls are rare in engineering...

pretty girls in engineering have too much power. they have the power to choose amongst all of the dudes in the classes. there is 0% competition that the girls face... but for the guys its a different story... trust me... i know.

Totally agree. At my school, there are NO pretty girls in CS, EE and CompE.
However, there are a few in civil and biomedical.
And EE girls in my school just !@#$%^

hahaha ok funny story: im a chick and in my ECE class the other day this guy leans over and is like "well, since you're the only girl in here, looks like you have free picks!" and then this "chick" behind us flips out because he thought she was a dude

The other day I was harassed by being accused of being one of those anime watching magic playing engineers and it freaken pssed me off. I hate, no I detest that card game and I can't stand anime. I’m a mechanical major and I do plenty of social stuff including competing in intercollegiate athletics. At my school, there is a group of CS majors that everyday play magic. It just psses me off that I get stereotyped like that just by being in engineering.

EE's tend to be very different from CE's and ME's from what I've seen. You can't really group them all together and generalize.

What are Civies like?

IEs are pretty virile. Oh ya, we have a damn good ratio.

CivE girls > other female engineers

Ok. I'm just wondering what stereotypes there are of Civil engineers. lol.

yeah, at my school if you're looking for a girl in engineering, then your best bet is civE...but even those aren't that great

Oh comeon, there are definently nice, smart, and pretty girls in engineering. They make up probably only half of the females in engineering, but we do exist! So stop bashing all of us darnit, its hard enough. And at my school, civE girls actually are the lesser good looking, the MEs are generally the stupidest of any of them (or they just seem like it), there are no girls in EE practically but again, half are decent and half are...well...read my previous post, and chemE girls are at the top too

I think you should satisfy my curiosity.

Even if they are pretty female engineering students, guy engineering students still wouldn't know how to talk to them. When they see cute fellow female engineers, their minds would very likely just go blank or mumble.

well it all depends on the kind of person u are.... :P

Ugh, when you know you're nerdy, please don't hit on us pretty girls. We don't like it, and we REALLY don't want to be mean but if you try to hard, we might have to. Good words to follow, please.
