So... No status update = no early acceptance?

I applied on November 24th and sent in my mid-year grades yesterday (I got my report card yesterday).

And I contacted USC in mid-December and they said they have all my documents... but my status is still

"Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th."

I live in San Diego and didn't get anything yet...

I have 3.91 UW GPA and 2240 SAT... am I not qualified for scholarship, then? Do I seriously have to wait until April 1st....??? :O

If USC follows past practice, they will send out the acceptances in waves. The ones you see reported today are just the very first wave. Fight on!

when is the next wave?

Probably very soon.

So, is there more than one wave for scholarship applicants as well or just acceptances in general now after the first wave?

I think people get their letters in early Feb. too. These first ones are probably just the first of the scholarship people.

Wait, so you think that there will be more scholarship people in other waves?

If the Admission Officers follow the same schedule as last year (but with slight differences), the next wave after this should be in a week to a week and a half and it’s usually the Deans Scholarship.

After the Deans Scholarship Wave, the next wave will be three weeks after that, and this is when the regular acceptances come out. Regular acceptances are sent in waves throughout March. The last week of March will be Spring Admits and a few more regular acceptances.

Unfortunately, rejections are sent after all acceptances have been sent.
