<p>Yes, there are people who quit internships.</p>
<p>But...if you quit, you probably won't want to put it on your resume, unless you're prepared to talk about it and have someone check whether you worked at the place or not.</p>
<p>When you apply for your next summer job, or a real job, it is likely you will be asked what you did during your summers. You need to think about how you will answer that question (if you get another job or internship this summer, it won't be so much of an issue.)</p>
<p>And...consider what it will mean to future students from your college who may want to get internships at the same place.</p>
<p>You now know you don't want a job where you will have such a long commute. At least it's provided some benefit to you.</p>
