what happens then? yeah alot of them are gonna let you go but what about the others

You can't get in trouble for being drunk. You can only get in trouble for drinking in the dorms or outside, or maybe having alcohol in your dorm room, depending on the RA. It's extremely unlikely that you'll get in trouble for drinking at a frat party.

If you get caught with alcohol by an RA in your dorm, unless they're very lenient or you're good friends with them, they'll pour it out and then maybe write you up to the JA (Judicial Administrator). The JA is like Cornell's mini-judicial/court system. Unless it's something more serious, the cops don't usually get involved.

I know my RA doesn't care. We were told that if we vomited we were expected to clean it up.

Depends on your RA. We got caught freshman year with beer cans all over the floor but the RA couldn't do anything b/c they were all empty:)

Yeah, usually its just a pour out though if you have a half-decent amount of booze (i.e. 3-4 handles) then I think most RAs would write you up. The JA isn't that big of a deal though, at least on your first offense. Most everyone I've heard of going to the JA got the same thing I got: community service and BASICS (which is ******** alcohol education that is actually kinda funny).

One word of advice: watch out when you **** on a tree/whatever on your drunken walk back from the frats; I got caught for public urination and the BASICS lady told me that a huge percentage of the kids she sees also got written up for public urination, apparenly the police REALLY look for it at Cornell.

Hahaha, nice lucifer. I didn't take Alcoholedu, so I'd imagine if I were JAed I'd get in more trouble.

Matt, wasn't that like the second day of school? Hahaha

I had a friend who didn't take AlcoholEDU either (I swear to god, only a nice 40 of King Cobra and an Xbox got me through thtat) but they contacted her and made her take it. How'd you get away without doing it?

It was september 10th, I remember from the ticket. After that I made sure to look around before I pee.

They e-mailed me and I didn't take it and then they left me alone, lol. I don't see the point, since I got the pretest like entirely correct and I just planned on letting the videos play while I was at class and answering the questions...so I just didn't do it.

haha im so getting caught for that.. I'll pee anywhere when I'm drunk

They actually had a Sting Operation a year or 2 back. The back of the law school was a notorious p|ss spot. They had like sweeps and caught dozens of kids p|ssing there.

haha... scandalous.

lol i was just thinking if let's say frat parties etc are like 15 min away from our dorms on north campus like how do you get home when you are drunk?...i'm going to end up not getting home haha

Yeah, I remember one night I randomly joined another group of people walking back from West Campus then found myself on the suspension bridge with absolutely no idea how to get to North. I just started walking east at the end of the bridge and made it back. . .it was funny though.

Libe slope can be a ***** after going to the frats. At least we have the clocktower (Walk into the light!) lol.

Yea I ended up in a bush in collegetown once when I was originally at Sig Pi, so go figure. I recommend never leaving without your friends...as mine could not find the elusive bush I was in a scuffle with.

Hahahahahaha

Hehe, this makes me happy that I'm careful about where I pee while plastered. I've never been the type to just pee around.

How do they find alcohol in your room? Are they allowed to go into your dorm when you're not around, or if they hear you guys makin a raucous, or what? I plan on keeping my mini-fridge well stocked, how would they find that?

If they hear you making a lot of noise they will knock on your door and ask. in other words, you were being suspicious... They then have the right to come in and search a little, and make you open the fridge, but otherwise, no they can't come in.

Tips for getting home from parties:
1) Go to frats on north campus to begin with
2) If it's before 2am, take the 92 or 93 bus, it's free!
3) When in doubt, GO UP HILL (not joking)
4) If you're a girl find a cute frat guy with a big bed, there always willing to share
