<p>Dr. Helms passed away Friday according to DS. He will be sorely missed. So glad I got the chance to thank him for everything he did for his students on honor’s day. Prayers to his friends and family.</p>

TUSCALOOSA Billy Paul Helms, age 68, of Tuscaloosa, died May 30, 2013, at UAB Hospital. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.</p>
