so should I resubmit my application?

earlier I submitted my application. since then I am now in spanish honor society and national honor scoiety. should I completely resubmit? is there no way of somehow just adding this info?

You can notify the colleges. However, these are not really major achievements, so I would do nothing.

Sorry, I ment to put this in the common app forum. but I guess as long as people answer.

so they are not even a big deal? I was always under the impression honor society’s were a big help.

Don’t resubmit your application. You could send an email to your regional admissions office, or if they have a tracking website, there could be instructions on how to update your application there. If you’re confused, just call the admissions office and say you’d like to make an addition to your application. But definetly do it.

It’s not that big a deal, but its’ a good think. Definetly include it. Calling/emailing has the added benefit of showing interest.

If you are applying to the most selective tier of colleges, those achievements are not a big thing. At most, send an e-mail or fax a note as an addendum.

Casc:

I would recommend sending a letter stating that you are updating your application and since the time you submitted your application, you were selected to this honor society.

Although I doubt that this would be make or break, it is a legitimate reason to contact the school, which shows that you really want to go there. So, it’s a free opportunity.

However, keep the letter short and businesslike.
