So should we actually expect decisions on Wed/Thurs?

haha, no that is really weird if you think about it. And just makes me all the more nervous.

agreed
my decision is sitting somewhere in a giant bag in a sea of other letters

my letter is all by itself, they wrote me personally because they were appalled that someone so subpar wasted their time. :-)

Don't think like that Hannah, we all have a chance! Positive! Positive! Positive!

....Besides mine is probably the one by itself...AHH! NO!...Positive!

I think its probably best at this point to be +. :) If you get in, great. If you don't, it wasn't meant to be. Life goes on.
That said, I still think that most people on CC have a great chance of getting in. NYU isn't one of those pretentious schools that automatically rule people out based on scores/GPAs, and I think that works in favor of anyone who is passionate and it seems to me like most of you are. I mean seriously, we're on college confidential freaking about whether we get or not in our free time...:P

I tend to agree with everyone here. I am trying to be positive, but at the same time, I have a contingency plan. On the first shelf of my refrigerator is a tube of cookie dough, and it says on it "Open only incase of NYU rejection".

mamspam, i think everyone on CC has a higher chance of getting in than most because we ARE the ones who are obsessed academically, which would probably suggest we are more competitive (and dramatic, gosh) than the average applicant.

do they lsp and tisch majors?

i think film is the only tisch major that gets lsped.

Ahh. I hate this waiting thing. This past week has been like torture and this upcoming week will probably be much worse. I just want to get in so badly, just like all of you. I spend all of my free time either thinking about getting in (or not) or looking at this website. I thought that seeing the postings of other obsessed NYU hopefuls would make me feel less crazy, but it hasn't. I'm freaked out. I think I'll go do some breathing exercises now or something.

world traveler, just do something to try to distract your self. Go to the gym, go shopping, go out with friends. Travel the world, whatever suits you.

Ha ha, it really isn't that easy. I could do things, but they just simply wouldn't distract me. I think I'd rather sit around staring out the window at my mailbox.

I applied ED to NYU Tisch for Acting.......Im wicked nervous as well. Does anyone know when Tisch people will hear? What does LSP mean?

SRC180: Hey, I applied to Tisch Drama as well. Which is your first choice studio? I applied as a Musical Theater student for CAP21.

^hey there! i applied ED to tisch for acting as well. LSP is the liberal studies program. it used to be called GSP, or general studies program.

The Liberal Studies Program

it doesn't apply to us, thank God lol

Oh yeah, you hoping for any studio in particular if you're accepted?

Well my audition went amazing, and my sis goes there(shes in CAS) but my grades arent great and im freaking out. My interview lady didnt really ask me what i wanted for a studio but i told her anyway ahahah. I said experimental

ah, cool. I thought my audition went pretty well, but you never know with these things I always think. Yeah, I applied for CAP21 as first choice, but I'd be happy just to get into Tisch. Second choice would most likely be Playwrights Horizons.

I'm hoping for Lee Strasberg or Stella Adler, but anything will satisfy me. what monologues did yall do, if yall dont mind me asking :) ?

Hey----I'm a new member and I was just wondering if anyone here applied to NYU Tisch Film/Television program ED. I'm very anxious to hear my results >< Does anyone know the acceptance rate to that particular program?
