So should we actually expect decisions on Wed/Thurs?

yea i told my audition lady strausberg too. My monolouges were "Get Real" by Jay Rhodes and "Valhalla" by Paul Rudnick. She made me do my monolouge pretending that the waterbottle on the table was my mother. kind of weird but I worked it out.So are we def finding out this week? I hope so

My monologues were from "Boy's Life" by Howard Korder and "Sophistry" by Jonathan Marc Sherman.

also does anyone know the statistics for getting into tisch? does ed help your chances? Does the fact that my sis goes there help? I literally would die if i got into NYU. I love acting and this is my dreammm

And yes, we should be finding out either this week or early of next. The sooner the better.

^ I also applied to Tisch Acting ED.
I'm hoping for Atlantic... but I didn't say anything to my lady. I was so f-ing nervous. It didn't help that I was FIRST. :/
my monologues were "Cleveland" by Mac Wellman and "No Exit" by Sartre.
do you guys remember who your auditioner was?

I don't remember her name, but I know that she works at the Strasberg Studio. I had met her before last summer while attending the Tisch Summer High School Drama program.

well i can safely say that ive never heard of yalls monologues which is a very good thing. can you imagine if someone did star spangled girl? eeeeeshhhhhhh

I had a lady named Tomi- my friend is in Playwrights and apparently the lady was her directing teacher freshman year. she was very nice :)
haha speaking of overdone- 'dentity crisis, anyone?

i read the old ED thread from last year and most of the people started replying on the 13th, with the most on the 15th about their decision letters

yeahhhh but the 15th was a saturday last year... it's a monday this year. which means we have a post free day to worry about. :-/

Hey----I'm a new member and I was just wondering if anyone here applied to NYU Tisch Film/Television program ED. I'm very anxious to hear my results >< Does anyone know the acceptance rate to that particular program?

Hey I applied to Film ED too! Good luck man! I think it's safe to say that film's the toughest program at NYU (no offense drama lmao) since it's like the number one undergrad film school in the world. Let's ignore USC haha

lololol I applied ED for Musical Theater-- I'm not sure what my acting auditioner's name was, but there were two women. One older, one younger. I had the older one and she was really nice.

what is the academic expectations booklet?

my cousin transferring into NYU just got her letter today.
she applied just about the same time i did for ED.
:\
so it's sooner than we think!

I dont know about the academic expectations booklet is. I know a few people asked, but no one I know actually got one. NYU seems to be pretty random with its mailings.

Sammoe- That is good news! The sooner I hear, the better!

honestly, applying was stressful, but now that i think of it... waiting seems to be worse!

Very True! Applying was the easy part. Playing the waiting game is the difficult part... but fortunately, it is almost over.

i've gotten academic expectations booklets from NYU

... i only submitted my application yesterday

same here, i got two academic expectation booklets today, but no letter.
haha.
it's such a tease.
sending all these expectations w/o letting me know if i'm in or not!

So that scares me that the film program is the hardest to get into. I don't know anyone else applying to that particular major (although many people from my school are applying to NYU early, but not to the film program).

Do you know what other people's portfolio's are like for the program?
