So sick of PARENTS! Need to be in college already..

^lel

OP: Maybe you should spend more time out of the house?

But like… You’re not… and you’re on phones… smh

Loool. A big thanks to the parents on here, i thought you would like flame this thread but thankfully you were very understanding. Don’t get me wrong- i totally understand why my parents are acting the way they are. but i’m a hormonal teenager that needed to vent.

I applied for some jobs, trying to get out of the house more etc etc… it’s working a little bit so far at least. I sat down with my parents and we talked, so they are giving me some more space which i appreciate.

Just trying to stick it out for a few more months before i leave! thanks for everyone’s responses, i’m glad i’m not alone<3

I don’t see why across the country is so helpful in the long term, unless that school is your #1 choice anyway. You’ll see them a few times a year even 3-4 hours away cause one thing will definitely change. You’ll have to actually work so you can just say you’re too busy and they won’t come visit then. Seriously that’s all you’d have to do. Or you might find yourself missing them and appreciate simple things like getting taken out to dinner or w/e after the crap cafeteria food. I think you’re in for a shock come this time next year if this is driving your college choice.

This probably will sound familar. Get a job and move out.

You think my number one reason for picking my college was so I wouldn’t be by my parents? No. That’s the way it worked out. and I’m thankful for that.

My bro is going to the state flagship that’s 3 hrs away. He comes home all the time. i definitely won’t be doing that if i’m a planeride away.

And I know i will miss them when I leave. but right now they’re driving me away and i want my independence.
