So-so Recommendation?

<p>No doubt $$$ can buy your way into a college. I, however, know lots of what most people would call wealthy kids (went to elite prep school costing the same as top college and living in mansions) who were legacies at ivy league schools who were rejected.</p>

<p>^ they were just really really dumb I guess. If the world is handed to you on a silver platter and you cannot take advantage of it, you just wasted good oppertunites. Then again, you really do not need to go to an ivy to become rich.</p>

<p>Also, if you remember the Simpsons, Mr. Burns wanted his son to go to Yale. They offered him admission (even though he spelled "Yale" with a '6') so long as Mr Burns could buy the college an international airport. Yale really needs an international airport.</p>
