So... the first tuition payment deadline is september 18th. what about financial aid?

i noticed that on the ucsd website, the deadline for the payment is on the 19th of september. But for me, as a financia aid student most of my tuition is covered by aid.... how do ppl like me pay for it when we dont even have the money for it? Is it automatically done by the financial aid office??? confused ._.

edit:
sorry guys, the title of this thread was supposed to be 19th, not 18th.

If you enrolled for direct deposit, financial aid funds should be transferred to your bank account soon.

i also read somewhere that ucsd will give some time for financial aid to come in if it doesnt come in by the deadline. like a week or two or something. i know i read that somewhere.

Aid can come in whenever it wants. Over the past two years, many of my loans would come in a few days after the due date. However, since the school makes up the dates they come in, it was okay. However, since you are relying on aid, be in contact with the financial aid office if you have concerns.

What if you don’t enroll in Direct Deposit?
How do the funds get sent in then?

And should one enroll in Direct Deposit?
What if we aren’t taking out any loans, but are just receiving grant or general aid money?

i dont kno the answers to ur questions. but i want to tell you that the direct deposit enrollment deadline is september 3rd. if ur unsure of what to do, i think it would be a better idea to just enroll in it anyway. because its gonna be a hassle to enroll in it after the deadline, if u decide to.

The money from aid + loans -> pay for fees -> leftover goes to u.
If u have direct deposite -> leftover straight to ur bank
If u dont-> they send u checks by mail.

I guess loans are automatically applied on the 14th?

I wonder when we get our grants though…
