so the last one had too many errors; this one's better

ok so on the last one, i only listed 4 schools, and i realized i needed about 3 more. so here it goes

here are the stats:

ACT: 30

AP's: Span- 5 Eng- 4 US History- 3

GPA:3.27 for oxford of emory, usc, wisconsin, penn state, purdue, MU, smu
illinois, wake forest - 3.37
georgia tech - 3.47

ECs listed on app: football, track, was in 2 clubs, and work, and tons of community service.

Job/Work Experience: did finances that were really receipts at a family friend's company and also had a job there too

Essays (subject and responses): on two hardships that have come down on me the last 2 years, and my dealing w/ them, how they've made me a more mature and appreciative person.

Teacher Recs: better than great

Counselor Rec: great

School Type: Private, does not rank

Ethnicity: Hispanic

Gender:M

Also: Took 3 summer courses at a local comm. college

For your essay, try to keep your focus narrow.

Wake Forest - reach
Penn State - lower reach (You would have had a better chance if Penn State placed less emphasis on GPA)
Purdue and USC - Good fit; by USC I'm assuming the one in South Carolina? since you are applying to other southern schools...

Sorry I'm not familiar with other schools

haha no actually it's southern cal. i am applying to tons of southern schools though huh...

it's ok.

chance me i chance you, it's the circle.....of life......or not.

did you/are you taking the SAT's? I was looking at Oxford of Emory...i think its a high match/ low reach for you....i think penn state should be a match too...im not so knowledgeable about the other schools so I won't comment in their regards....good luck though!

crap i just realized i put down penn state when i meant oklahoma. sorry.

and yeah i took them once, weren't too hot though. it's way too long

hahahah bump

bump. i forgot that i had this up.

the schools are, jsut for clarification: oxford of emory, southern cal, WIsconsin, ILLinois, Wake Forest, GA Tech, Purdue, SMU, OKlahoma (automatic admission, so scholarships?). yeah that's it. lol

you live in Oklahoma? dude If you're thinking about going to OSU, I suggest OU in Norman....it's far better than OSU with a beautiful campus and better reputation. Great town also

hah no i don't live in oklahoma. I'm not applying to OSU, i'm applying to OU. #1 in the nation baby! boomer schooner .........yeah i'll wait on that actually. so OU, and the other ones above for this CA kid

bump for the night

Bump again. and for those of you who care, tony bruno is back on the air. that is all

oxford of emory-reject
usc-reject
wisconsin-IN
penn state-IN
purdue-IN
MU-IN
smu-IN
illinois-50/50
wake forest-Iffy
georgia tech-IN

lol hes not gunna get rejected from oxford of emory!

4 realllsss he's hispanic...with a 30 ACT... that's 97th percentile

gsw, with 3.27 gpa, you have no chance for usc. fall 2008 entering class average gpa was 3.8.

bump this _____ before football practice lol

depending on the strength of ure extra curriculars, they could balance out your weak gpa for USC. i think purdue should be in your reach!

yeah your act is in the range for all of the schools above but as for usc, emory, and illinois, you GPA kills you.....boomer sooner baby

do i still have a shot though tsh.

haaha yes, the sooners vs. texas, the red river rivalry live from the cotton bowl

oh and tom cable.... ahem* ***
