I mean to meet the dormmates and set up the dorm room. Sorry for this repost, I think this has been addressed before but I can't find the thread. And we are not allowed in the dorms until the third?

Weird

Also, if you have no fear of meeting an weird alaskan / californian korean and are planning to buy craploads of stuff for your dorm, and have access to a mobile vehicle (preferably not a bike), please let me hitch along! i have no mode of transportation when i set foot in NY. i don't think i'll be buying much things here. <-- shameless appeal.

and there's definitely a train from JFK to Princeton right? or the other airport.. i forget.

thanks for the replies. i got a stand by on the night of the 2nd, so i "should" be able to just throw my things in the dorm before im swept up my the number of amazing people at Princeton. and OA.

a stand-by ticket, basically i get a ticket.. err.. free cuz my dad is some sort of airport employee, but i gotta wait for free spots. hopefully there wont be many people going to Newark...

There are always open spots...I have switched flights halfway through (during my layover) and got on flights with stand-by. It's so weird when they tell you that a flight is full and yet you get on and there are all these empty seats. Liars!

but stand-by does have alot of drawbacks. i was in korea like a week ago and there was an Asiana Airlines strike, so there were no free spots to go back to the U.S.... man, i waited 12 hours for a friggin flight.

holy crap, you guys are already in the multiple thousands... MAN... i gotta catch up! prepare for many MANY nonsensical posts. just kidding.

Mall of America? whoa. it must be good. Tee hee, Anchorage got Abercrombie and Fitch... err last year i think, and we just got a American Eagle, i think. dont know if it's open yet... we're SO on top of it. hahaha, i remember the newspaper articles when Old Navy opened. Hahahahahahaha, good times.

prettyfish, i think you just gotta call your college supervisor guy and be at Princeton before 5 PM in order to get your keys on the 2nd. on the third, i think it's after 9 AM, but I might be wrong.

oh, and mea. this is a two part question:
a. where in asia are you from?
if the answer is China, go on to b...
b. If you're from China, and can read Chinese, could you translate an e-mail for me? Not sure what type of dialec it is, but she's from Shanghai. yeah... i tried babelfish... doesn't work too well....

Haha, my mom was worrying about this cuz i arrive at princeton at 5:30 (uh oh after check in!) so if that happens with u too, u go to campus security and they will give u a key and let u in ur rooms (the room that u will be living in the rest of the year).

haha abercrombie...middle school memories =P haha i wanna hear some more isolated-alaska stories :-). do u have mcdonalds? haha just kiddin.

hobbes - I'm in CA for the summer. I'm in Hong Kong otherwise. That's sort of China. In any case, if it's written, don't worry about the dialect. Send it along.

babelfish is hilarious : )
